So says the teenage kid inviting rock star Russell Hammond to his home for a party in Cameron Crowe’s seminal rock’n’roll movie, Almost Famous. Anyone who digs music can understand the allure of the fantasy of hanging out with your favourite musicians. What questions would you ask them? What truths would they reveal to you about their lyrics? How could you express how much one line or melody means to you? Music is the modern world’s poetry and we created this website to pay respect to our most admired ‘poets’. RTP’s contributors were drawn together by our mutual love for all kinds of music, and between us our tastes are quite diverse. We hope to use this website to promote musicians and share all kinds of music-related musings.
As movie-lovers and tv-lovers, you’ll also find a fair share of our thoughts on both of those mediums, and other random pop-culture ruminations.
